"I'm not big on guns.. but I suppose now isn't the time to voice it.." Alice said, a bit of dry humor in her voice. She had already hugged the Matron good-bye and Jeffreys too. He more-so just kinda came up to her and hugged her, but she welcomed it and the warm ball of comfort that sat wrongly in her belly. She had never hugged a man before Alex, and now Jeffreys.. My she was getting around.

Blushing instantly at the funny thought, she looked down after releasing Jeffreys who turned just as red as she when he saw her face. Ms. Maggie caught on quick to his silliness and knocked him good on the back of the head, barking for him to get inside and clean her shot gun before she'd use it on him.

"Take these.." She said to Alice before she began her journey down the long stretch of highway. The matron handed her 3 cans of ravioli and 3 packs of gumdrop candies, no doubt for each one of them to share and ration. As soon as the others were ready, Alice drew one of her shanks and held it firmly. After swinging on her backback she grasped her lead pipe in the other hand. She attempted preparing mentally for this trip, but she had no idea if this was it. If this was going to be her last day alive, if these were going to be the last hours and the last people she was going to spend it with on this hellish Earth. She would die beside these two if she had to, she would protect them no matter the cost.
